Our membership indicates that there are currently around twenty practising Indigenous lawyers and solicitors in Victoria and  three barristers.  Student membership is by far the biggest, with over forty members currently enrolled in a law degree.  Tarwirri would like to see the appointment of Victoria's first Indigenous magistrate within the next few years.
