Tarwirri celebrates the launch of the LIV’s 2026–2028 Reconciliation Action Plan

Tarwirri is proud to celebrate the launch of the Law Institute of Victoria’s (LIV) 2026–2028 Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

The Innovate RAP sets out practical and measurable actions to strengthen cultural capability, foster inclusion and advance advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the Victorian legal profession.

The RAP was developed in partnership with First Nations representatives and reflects the LIV’s commitment to meaningful action, accountability and reconciliation.

Tarwirri President Andrew Williams spoke at the LIV RAP launch and has been proud to support the LIV’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation and to strengthening opportunities for First Nations lawyers and law students.

Tarwirri acknowledges the importance of organisations across the legal profession taking meaningful steps towards greater representation, inclusion and opportunity for First Nations peoples.

As recognised by LIV Chief Executive Adam Awty at the launch:

“In making this commitment, we recognise First Nations peoples' fundamental right to self-determination.”

Tarwirri congratulates the LIV on the launch of its 2026–2028 RAP and looks forward to continuing to support the work needed to turn commitments into meaningful and lasting action across the legal profession.
