The Business in Colour Awards recognise individuals, leaders, allies and communities making meaningful contributions to anti-racism, cultural equity and inclusion across Australian workplaces and communities.
Andrew’s recognition reflects the significant contribution he continues to make to the First Nations legal profession and to the broader work of creating greater opportunities, representation and connection for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in law.
As President of Tarwirri, Andrew has dedicated countless hours to supporting the association, its members and the broader communities. His work extends well beyond his formal responsibilities as President. He contributes his time, knowledge and leadership to emerging First Nations lawyers and law students, supporting professional development, strengthening relationships across the legal profession, advocating for First Nations perspectives and helping create opportunities for the next generation.
Andrew is a proud Palawa (Poredareme) man and advocate for First Nations rights; he has played a key role in Tarwirri’s continued growth and its contribution to the First Nations legal and justice sector. Through his leadership, Tarwirri continues to provide a space for First Nations law students, graduates and legal professionals to connect, support one another and contribute to law reform and broader conversations affecting First Nations peoples.
That commitment is deeply valued by the Tarwirri community and beyond.
